Cross Øresund Bridge to the cool city of Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city, on this independent day trip from Copenhagen. A mere hop, skip and jump from the metropolis of Copenhagen, Malmö is culturally different with a famously laid-back vibe. Enjoy free time to discover the city's charm at your own pace, perhaps perusing the cafes and shops of Lilla Torget, and enjoy a leisurely canal cruise with commentary, too. Small-group tour limited to fifteen participants, ensuring a more intimate experience.

Relax aboard your air-conditioned minibus on the journey out of Copenhagen, and get to know your small group. Your journey east lasts less than an hour and passes over the famous Øresund Bridge that connects the two countries.
When you arrive, meet a local guide and receive a brief introduction to the city before heading off to explore at your leisure. Perhaps stroll around the two main squares of Stora Torget and Lilla Torget, or make use of the favourable currency and hit the Malmö shops. Pay homage to the city’s contemporary art scene with a visit to Moderna Museet Malmö, housed within a former electric power station, and marvel at its exhibits of modern art by Picasso, Dali, Matisse and more. Entrance fees to any attractions are at your own expense.
A canalboat tour is included with your day trip, so, when the time comes, hop aboard a boat for your 1-hour cruise. Meander along canals and under bridges as you circle Malmö Old Town, and listen to a narrative about Swedish history and well-known characters, monuments and stories.
In the late afternoon, return to your minibus and relax on your journey back to Denmark. Your tour finishes with a drop-off at the start point.

Get to know the father of fairy tales on a Hans Christian Andersen day trip from Copenhagen. With a guide at your side, travel to the writer’s birthplace, the town of Odense on the Danish island of Funen. Visit the Hans Christian Andersen Museum, which was once Andersen’s childhood home, explore the town, and take a cruise down the tranquil Odense River. A sandwich lunch plus soda or beer is included.

Step aboard your coach at Vester Voldgade in central Copenhagen, and meet your guide to learn all about Hans Christian Andersen. The Danish writer produced plays, books and poems, but is perhaps most widely remembered for his fairy tales. The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling and Thumbelina are among the best known around the English-speaking world, proving inspiration for ballets, animated films, plays and more.

Following the opposite direction of a route traveled by Andersen in his teens, your tour heads south, out of Copenhagen and through the heart of Zealand — the large Danish island on which Copenhagen sits. Cross the impressive Great Belt Bridge to the island of Funen, and stop in Odense.

Hop off your coach, and start your tour of the town with a visit to the writer’s childhood home, now the acclaimed Hans Christian Andersen Museum. From here your guide will join in to explore the rooms within the humble cottage-come-museum with you, and see a range of exhibitions that feature drawings and poems by Andersen himself.

Continue with a walk through Odense’s charming old-world streets, and alongside the banks of Odense River to the park of Munke Mose. Here, board your boat and relax on a leisurely cruise through the town. Enjoy a sandwich and beer or soda — provided by your guide — and soak up the scenery as you glide.

After the cruise, return to your coach and travel back to Copenhagen. Your tour ends with a drop-off at the start point.

Enjoy an exclusive trip to Sweden, and visit shops, sights and stores. This tour goes from Copenhagen to the Malmö area on the Swedish side, and includes both landmarks and shopping opportunities.

The guide picks you up with the group of no more than 8 people in central Copenhagen. You then travel to Sweden by crossing the famous Öresund Bridge. The best photos of the bridge are taken from the Swedish side, so we make a stop for that.

In Sweden the tour takes you out to the special local store Vellingeblomman, world famous in Vellinge, a high-end village on the Swedish countryside. Originally a flower shop, it is now a popular shopping destination for many Swedes who want to buy local products of many different kinds. Take the opportunity to stroll the flower garden. While there you get to try the Swedish pastry Kanelbulle along with a cup of strong Swedish coffee, all on the house.

You then continue on into the town of Malmö, Sweden’s third biggest, where you stop for the inclusive lunch. Choose between local specialities such as herring or Swedish meatballs to eat, right down at the sea front.

In Malmö the guide will show you some of the main landmarks of town, such as the old town, Old Town and the Main Square. Not to miss is the iconic skyscraper Turning Torso; the symbol of Malmö and with 190 meters the tallest building in all of Scandinavia.

You also get to visit the brand new Malmö market hall. Why not try some home made icecream, or buy some Swedish chocolade to bring back home?

Around 15.00 in the afternoon you then get to explore Malmö’s shopping opportunities on your own. You can walk among the high street stores on Södergatan, or go to the second biggest mall in Sweden: Emporia, with a selection of 230 different stores.

At the end of the day you take the quickest and most comfortable way back to Copenhagen by travelling 1st class on the train. Your ticket is included and is an open ticket, allowing you to stay in Malmö exactly as much as you want.
